What is Trigger Finger Release?
A trigger finger release is a surgical procedure that treats the condition known as trigger finger syndrome. The less than 30-minute outpatient procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia
During the procedure, the following steps are performed:
A small incision is made in the palm
The tendon is divided and released
The finger is moved to ensure it no longer catches or locks
The incision is carefully closed and dressed
